How commercial relationships are established, where they live on the site, and how the firewall prevents them from influencing scores.
When a firm pays us
Only after it has cleared the filter and been read. The relationship is recorded with a `since` date and a `twin` URL — the same firm reached without paying us, so a reader who prefers not to be part of the transaction can find their own way. The `since` date must be later than the firm's `firstReadOn` date; the row shows no paid link if that condition fails.
What the firewall guarantees
Every score, every band and every position inside a band is computed by code that cannot read the field that holds the commercial relationship. A build-time check (run on every deploy) fails if that ever changes, and the deploy stops. This is a property the code can be audited for, not a promise.
