How this site decides what to publish, how it scores it, and how it is paid for what it publishes.
What we read
The site reads primary sources only: a firm's own help centre, terms, refund policy, pricing, company register and Trustpilot profile. Aggregators are not sources, and repeating an aggregator's marketing is not reading.
How we score
Every score on this site is the arithmetic of constants — weights, thresholds and gates — that are versioned and fingerprinted. Changing a constant without writing down what changed stops the build. The method version and its full changelog are published on the methodology page.
How we are paid
A commercial relationship with a firm is established only AFTER the firm passes our filters, never before. A firm that pays us cannot move up the ranking: the code that decides the order cannot see the field that holds the commercial relationship, and a build-time check fails if that ever changes. What we will not do
We do not invent citations. We do not delete a finding because a firm complained. We do not soften a warning because we are paid to soften it. We do not list a firm we have not read. We do not promote a firm from "not judged" to a tier because somebody asked nicely.
